that is autoleveling, mandatory in Europe on HID headlights, as opposed to manual leveling... in the US we never had manual leveling, it is bad enough people drive with blinkers on for miles, let alone "dial" headlights into oncoming traffic... lol...

i think the autoleveling is mandatory on HIDs in the US too... the adaptive lights were introduced in the facelifted ones, starting some specific production date...

if the rain sensor in yours is acting up, it will affect the lights coming on... how is your fuse 41?

Just checked it it is ok. I need a new windshield with factory installed sensor. Mine was replaced the day I bought it, INPA shows the sensor as needing initialization which I have done repeatedly. There must be a bubble or something hindering it. It is seen by INPA, DIS, BMW Scan 1.40 and claims to respond to and be initialized, then it immediately shows as an error.

I have deductible free glass, just need a rock to find me.

there were folks here who re-glued the sensor - might be worth trying it while the rock is looking for your windshield...

There was a period a few years ago I had three windshields killed in a 2 month span on my Z. Damn rocks instead of lawns.

Now I want one, I can't catch a rock. :P

I saw a write up on that fix, my experience with gluing, painting, sanding etc is so bad. I just can't do that kind of thing to save my a$$.

Right now my driver door is apart awaiting the Front Door Handle Carrier (Left) part# 51 21 8 243 615 I got from Beverly Hills BMW. Ordered from them because they were the closest dealer on the west coast that had it in stock at less than 120% (95 plus 6 shipping) I got it from eBay and called to ask if they would ship immediately, parts guy said sure, it is 170! I said you have it on eBay for 95, he said oh, hold for that department!

I should a pulled out my I bought my '90 325ic from you how 'bout some love card.
