Why not just buy the HD bushings and have them pressed in? Prob around 40 apiece.
Guaranteed made in cheena if you are seeing arms for 40 a side. Not necessarily quality. If you don't know already, don't go cheap on the E53, it will come back to bite you. Spend a night or two less out to the bar or strip club and you can afford the quality arms in my opinion.

I have been a long time BMW owner, so I usually don't go cheap.
I would buy the HD bushings, but I don't have access to a press and the local machine shop charges almost 30 bucks per bushing to press them in. No strip clubs for me... it's called a 6 year old daughter that has tons of extra-curricular activities lately that have sucked my wallet dry.

I was just curious about them. I'm assuming they are reconditioned arms with new bushings pressed in. I don't see how you can screw up a rubber bushing. If they were ball joints or tie rods I would walk away immediately, but the thrust arm is simply a steel arm with a rubber bushing pressed in.

More than likely they are cheap aftermarket arms with new Chinese bushings in them. If they were refurbished arms I would assume there would be a core charge.
Your stock arms are good I would imagine, just get new bushings (high quality oem or Meyle HD) and re use your stock arm is my opinion.

Whoops didn't read your previous post about the machine shop etc and your 6 year old. Not trying to be a dick.
I have not found refurbished arms with high quality bushings in my search, at the 40 dollar price point you get cheaper Chinese parts, about 100 is the going rate for high quality or oem arms.

Order from rockauto.com - i order alot of parts from here for cars i work on just make sure you get a quality aftermarket brand.
I replaced my furthest front control arms/thrust arms or whatever they are called recently.. 85$ or something close for both shipped. I got the DORMAN brand. Also lookup rockauto 5% off code itll be in the first few search results.

ECS has thrust arms for under 80 bucks each as well, Might just go with those since I tend to trust ECS. I was just hoping for a cheaper fix until the financial situation improves.
