Had the gearbox oil changed and new filter £287, has totally cured the problem. No more slip at all.

Great to hear its fixed, sad to hear you dropped 287! that's like 5000 Freedom Bucks! For others with this fix on their mind, the kit and fluids is fairly cheap and your labor is more or less free. If you are broke like me, this fix can be done on your own and you save some major green.

Since he is just adding fluid to the system and not doing a drain and refill, he should check the fluid level with the engine running. Opening the fill hole with the engine off will ensure that ATF will pour out of the fill hole and by the time he reacts to the amount of ATF coming out of the hole he would have lost a great deal of ATF.
