That connector is called Display Port. My computer has that , that is actually how I got to test it. My pc had it, and my friend needed to get a card to support that. He paid 598 shipped for a Samsung 28". I was highly impressed.

I don't think the new season of "Stunt's Garage" is out yet.

Lol, I got sidetracked. It started out with me picking up 3 surplus military generators. 2 cylinder water cooled diesel engines running @ 1800rpm.

I then quickly realized I didn't have room to work on them in the shop with the X all apart and all the farm/yard/tractor stuff in there. My shop addition would get flooded anytime it rained due to the way the dirt banks were sloping right next to it, so I had been putting off moving stuff out there. But this finally took me over the edge. So I began excavating:

And as of today:

I was finally able to move all that stuff out into the addition and properly arrange it so that I could relatively easily get to everything:

I probably moved about at least 10 dump truck loads of dirt...

So now I could finally tear down those generators and begin rebuilding those engines and go over them in general.

I plan to keep one or two and sell the 3rd one. That should help fund the completion of the X project.

So yes, you could say that I got a little sidetracked....

Very cool, was looking at older gas military generators a couple weeks ago at a surplus store. I'm guessing you bought these at auction and are getting them going again? Would love to have a diesel one over a gas one. Currently use a larger mobile gas generator when the power goes out where I live in Rural MI.

Nice work on the excavating, going to do drain tile in gravel to divert the water?

I just finished reading all 43 pages of your thread and all I can say is Wow! Great work!!!
I missed the part in your thread regarding the origin of the oil leak, which gasket was the culprit?

Keep up the good work!

I am guessing that the are where you dumped the dirt, is where you would like the water to go.

Why not set up a french drain, 2 actually? One on the green, to carry the water out to the side of the shop, and not wash that dirt back down to your shop. And one by the shop to carry the perimeter water also away.

That hill looks like it can bring in a huge volume of water. And with a dual french drain, you might be able to get a water slide out of it. Or wash someones shit away if they bother you.

Love the update of stunt's garage.

Looks like he is digging a trench for drainage behind the shop, should be able to get accordian drain pipe laid in there nicely to divert water.

Those gov't auctions are awesome if you are handy and can haul stuff.

I have an 18" Powermatic Drill Press ($125 -- go ahead, price a new one). It needs cosmetic repairs and likely some bearing work on the electric motor, but it still drills straight and true. I also bought two wire baskets full of pipe wrenches, a steel Mac floor jack, a Wilton vise and a Reed vise. Refurbed the vises and have them mounted in my garage. Sold the pipe wrenches (2-48", 1-36, 2-24) to an oil field worker and a collector. Also scrapped about 500 lbs of steel/cast iron. I'm so far ahead on what I paid vs. what it cost me it's ridiculous (including the UHaul trailer rental). BTW: anyone need a tire chain tool? Still have that hanging in my garage...lol

I'd love a big diesel generator like the ones you got Stunt. Nice haul.
