For all your pop out dad, new pop here.
Question of the day. What the secret on keeping the kids warm in the car in carseats. ie; X takes about 2 miles in general for it to generally start generating heat. No jackets with lil ones in the carseat. Lil one hates blankets. He's started speaking so he flings the blanket off and says, baby no need blanket. Baby warm.

^Our solution was to get a warm carseat. Now we have the opposite problem you do... keeping our little girl cool enough, even in the 40 degree temps we've started seeing.

Edit: Forgot to say... also glad all is going well stunt. We were all wondering. I also have no more personal time... lol been working on a 328i with a bad head gasket for a year now. Should take only a couple weeks including the machine shop work.

Put it in the garage like I do. Lol.

Seriously I don't know. When parked outside, we just leave them in jackets that they are rocking.

Short trip same deal.

Long drive, I try to warm it up before getting them inside.

Glad to see your back! Hopefully the greatest "all in" post continues to completion this year!!!

As for keeping kids warm, the answer is simple! Heated rear seats! greatest invention ever!!!!! keeping them cool, not sure, AC?? hoodies? precool the truck? open windows somewhat? (with window lock set to 'on'!)
My daughter LOVES the heated seats!

Just wait till they don't need car seats any more. Then you hear that little voice from the back that says.. "Ahhhhh, butt warmers!"

I got these ice gel covers - amazing for what is is, to keep the car seats cool during the summer. Most important was the metal on the seat belts..

Jackets are a big no no ....or so does the wife and the interwebs say when in the baby seat. There are times we head out, and on the way back...the car is bone cold from sitting in the elements. It takes about 2 1/2 miles for the car to generate heat....and well, just looking out for the lil one here.

Hahaha. I can't wait. Going to be nice to see them experience that. They already demand that I drive them only in the x5. Lol. Going to be a BMW family I fear.

Just finished getting through this thread, and it's been incredibly helpful for what I'm working on now. Thank you for all your pics, they really give a great perspective on what's going on.

And with everyone else, extremely jealous of the workshop space!

Nathan are you changing your knock sensors on the 4.is since you have it all ripped down?
