Start beating me up now...

Since the heart and soul of this Beast is it's engine and since the engine was sourced from Alpina,

I have ordered all emblems necessary to change every roundel to an Alpina emblem: steering wheel, bonnet, back hatch, engine cover, valve caps.

I want a one-off look on mine. I'll post pics as I go.

Next up: M3 steering wheel, 7" touch screen GPS, H&R wheel spacers, suspension changeout (still researching this one), tint, clear bra.

Its your car man do what you want.

I wouldn't put Ruf badges on a 996 unless it was delivered by Ruf.

If anything I'd change the roundels to be sportier, the M3 wheel for a nice motorsport touch. Maybe I'd put an Alpina emblem on the engine, but that's about it.

Hell I don't think even the 27 supercharged 4.6iS guys have Alpina emblems.

As long as you don't put M Power decals or pieces on the X we'll let you slide.

Just make sure you add the "Powered by Alpina" banner on your windshield.

Uhhhhh, you do know that Alpina had absolutely nothing to do with the 4.8 N62 right? Good luck trying to explain that one.

I thought he had a 4.6. I wouldn't say that BMW sourced the engine from Alpina, I would say that BMW developed and built the 4.6 using the Alpina engine as inspiration.

OP, it is your vehicle. If you want to make it an homage to Alpina, go for it. Why use an M3 wheel, why not one from an Alpina if that is the theme?
