installed sub, now abs light on??
http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/...ctory-amp.html I tapped the same 12v switched wire as he did. I also used pics #6-8 as those were my harness connectors for sub wires. amp/sub works fine but now my yellow brake/abs light is on and I've got a little yellow triangle exclamation point with a round arrow around it lighted up. any guesses as to why? I just used a random frame bolt for ground and I tapped power at the white covered box at the front of the wheel well. basically, batter cable runs from battery to the big terminal in that little box where the 200amp mega fuse is and I tapped power at that lug. shouldnt affect anything. I'm going to unhook the 12v switched and see what that does... |

ok, unhooked the power wire and the 12v switched wire and no change.
checked the glove box fuses and nothing. none of the hatch area fuses were part of the system. got back into where I tapped for the power wire and ohm'd all the big fuses in there and they are all intact. ugh. |

Coincident that the light came on after you connected your sub. Get the DTC read and post it back here.

is there a procedure to do it yourself? |

If you disconnected the battery when you installed the sub amp it will cause the warning lights you mention to illuminate. If you drive the vehicle back and forward, usually just 10 feet or more and use your brakes they should go out. Sometimes it takes a longer distance or also turning the wheel lock to lock but they should go out.
