Well, she's gone... To Albania

Yes, you read that right! Just dropped off my X5 to it's new owner-- who will be shipping it out to Albania. He said he's out there for a month every year, wants a car for him and his family.

Sale went well, and he invited me into his house for homemade grappa, truly a nice family. Glad to see it's going to a good home, but she will be missed!!!

Grappa is a brandy...but some cultures (Eastern European) make it themselves...

Good story, Naz... someone else will get to enjoy your car, and it sounds like it's going to a good owner.

Grappa... depending on quality, good sometimes, in small quantities.

The grappa was great. Apparently the new owner is going to send me pics of my X in Albanian mountains. Now that's pretty badass.

I wonder what the import fees/restrictions are. I know in Greece you can only send a certain amount of cars per year, etc.

I would hope the import fees aren't too much, in the Balkans I'm sure its not too terribly difficult to import a car, its not Germany over there you know, lol.

Glad it went to a good home and an enthusiast, now get the X3 tinted and enjoy your new whip! (time for a motorcycle yet bro?)

Great story. Maybe I'll see it over there this summer. I go to Albania every couple of summers. My grandfather imported his car over there and total cost was probably about 1500.00. When I eventually upgrade my X I will probably do the same thing.
