Depends where the OP is in Canada for the specific demerit points, fines, etc for the use of a handheld electronic device, but spending money to connect a music player isn't always a great idea. Unless of course the driver is never going to select a song or otherwise control it while driving. Not sure that many have that self discipline. The plan is a tablet install (foam + leather to match the trim), with a slide out keyboard or something similar, and a backup camera.

It was inspired by the nexus install. The nexus install was OK, but I believe it can be done better with a rear camera. and AV-in android tablet. I will open a thread when the project begins..
