Slight shake when hard brake, rotors problem?

Just felt the front end shake a little bit when I brake hard, say half way down the brake peddle. Not sure if this associated with my newly installed pads & slotted rotors. Brake fluid change last winter. Could be the suspension like ball joint & tie rod, etc?

Much appreciate your advice. New England is super beautiful today. Gotta post some BBQ pics here later on. Cheers!!

Oh by the way, forgot to add, the alignment is a little bit off due to Front Pass side lower control arm replacement. Not sure again if its related. Thanks'!

Could also be a wheel bearing, check for any odd play or movement in it when you jack it up.

In my experience with other vehicles, slotted rotors can make a slight shuddering when braking hard. It's not bad, it's not brutal, but it's there. And only when really getting stuck into the brakes.

How many miles on car?

It could be worn suspension components, or pad deposits.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
trust me if you had a bad wheel bearing you'd know it, WWII bomber drone above 40 mph.

my money is on poorly bedded brakes, out of true rotors, or if your thrust arms are original, then they are shot.

Thanks so much for the responses, guys!

ants_oz : What you described is exactly my case. Not bad, not brutal, but it's just there. Hope you're correct.

4.8isX5 : About 140K on the clock, I'm sure my struts need replacement since they're original. But not that bad. I'll keep my eyes on it for the next few months. Thanks!

upallnight: It happens on high speed, because on low speed, when I tried to brake hard, it already stopped. It usually happens when I get off the highway to a ramp, from ~70mph to 20~30ish in a short distance.

Ricky : WWII Bomber Drone, lol. I attached a picture here. Could you elaborate more on the poorly bedded pads out of true rotors? Both thrust arm are original but the thrust bushings are all brand new. Thanks!

At 140k not only are your struts due, but basically every bushing and joint in the front and rear..

Tierods, thrust arm, control arm, sway bar links, swaybar bushings, knuckle balljoint...

Rear: Control arm, eccentric arm, and balljoint.
