It didnt leaked on my end but would you just deal with the awful rotten look then spending $30? I dealt with it for about 4 months till i finally decided being the car will be go to pain for Front Bumper Chips n wet sand the whole car along with paint correction so i needed a well looking car after.. Lol.. But Rb did not add any type of silicone as long as its snug in there

So i managed to find time this weekend to replace the windshield upper moulding, and as most posters said removal was the easiest part of the job. It took me only less than 2 minutes to remove the rotted out trim. Cleaning took me a lot longer as i tried to clean out all old sealant. Goo-gone is highly recommended.
Also, there's no backing sheet to remove but take note that sealant in groove would be dislodge if you should try a test fit. And take note of the starting edge placement as you may not have enough length on the far side if you butt leading edge to a-pillar trim.
Other post pushed the trim form one end, i did not do that but instead pushed down into top edge of glass with my thumb. Then i used the trim tool to push it down farther. Made another pass with the trim tool inching little by little and using palm of my hand to even out trim depth.

Good job, those Harbor Freight trim tools (I have a set...lol!) come in handy.
