Hey fellows, I'm "finally" back, with all my work done. Had it done for a while, but didn't have to to post up results. I'm overall satisfied with the results, a bit dissapointed that I still have just a bit start up rattle, maybe just a second, but I was shooting for none at all. Anyway, look over the attached 2-page PDF, and and let me know what you think of the prices, etc... Total of finished work came to $7700, and some. Awaiting professional insight!! Aw, shucks, my pdf is to big, might just have to type it all out tomorrow... Oh, got it to work...

WOW Matt, talk about some serious maintenance! The labor rate is pretty good at $80 an hour, I'm sure it feels good to be able to say you are done with those repairs.

Only thing that surprises me is that he only replaced one of the motor mounts, at your mileage I would have expected both. Either way I'm sure you feel better!

As for the start up rattle, if its something to be concerned about why not ask the mechanic? Also, what oil type and grade are you using?

If I remember correctly, when I resealed the original engine, before it blew, he replaced the other engine mount, which was a little curious then, but hopefully, I'm good to go now. I'm just hopin that my transmission hangs in there for a while yet! I know that that everybody's pretty much 50/50 on doing a refresh, but does anybody have any knew opinions or suggestions?

I would want to be sure the timing chain tensioner is replaced.

Matt, I'm definitely in the realm of "don't touch the tranny if it's working correctly" thought of mind. If you do, I would only drain, capture and strain the fluid. Replace the filter and return the original fluid into it.

I trust you do a brake system flush every 30,000 miles, right? Differentials and transfer case at 100,000 miles.

Thanks, that's kinda what I was thinking, probably what I'll do. I haven't done a brake system flush since I bought it, definitely something that needs to be done...

Synthetic Pentosin 5W30 This is what my Indy recommended, and what I've been using since I have my X. Good? Bad?
