I want my bikes!!!

Hey all! Happy 4th!!! I have a Thule trunk mount bike rack and would like to mount it to the back of my X5. Probably not the best way to go but as of right now its all I got. I've been searching around but haven't found anything. Anyone here mount a bike rack this way? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had one for a sedan years ago. I gave it away eventually.

In general, they work, but you have to watch out for paint scratches from the rack, and from bikes moving around. Also you usually can't open the hatch with it installed.

I don't recall seeing pictures of one on this site since 2005. No reason one wouldn't work if properly attached, if it's all you have.

I use Rola cross bars and a couple of thule roof racks to carry bikes on the roof, and a factory hitch with Saris ride on carrier to carry additional bikes in the back.
