I did this on my 2001 3.0i today. Bought the Dorman clips so I'd be ready, but this one did not use any clips. Just fuel hose, so I used new hose clamps. I replaced the 3" section of vacuum hose. Mahle KL96 filter matched the original that came out. 170k miles with no issues beforehand.
