Brake Light and Rear Lights Shorting Out

I have a common problem, the rear brake light arched and I did the DIY found here, removed the right taillight, cleaned it, solder on the arc spot, sanded and reinstalled. Worked great fixed the braklight and message gone.

Literally one minute later I get the brake light message again. I check now its the left side with same issue. I proceed with the same fix. Turn on it worked!

Not so fast now check rear light message. Now the upper bulb in left taillight is blown, i remove from housing and have a very hard time getting the bulb out of the socket. once removed I notice the two contact hand strange marks and looks like they arched to the bottom of the socket.

Anyone know why my rear light/brake light problem keeps jumping around as one issue if fixed?

Good thing RB knew what type of rear lights you had...because I had no clue.

You don't have a signature with your model/model year/build date...nor gave any car info in your posts...so many forum members may have been reluctant to respond because they didn't know which type of rear tail lights you have due to no vehicle info.

Help us help you better (in the future) and for others that may find your post doing a search...click the USER CP link at the top right of the page (in the blue border) then look along the left side for EDIT SIGNATURE and create a one that includes your model/model year/build date. That way, forum members can respond specifically to your questions without having to make assumptions or give you incorrect info in case you have a different engine, tranny, and other options.

Wish we had a like button here lol!

To the OP, if you have 2003-2006 model, you also need to get capacitors from Lightwerkz to solve flickering from adaptive brake lights. Let me know but I was fairly certain you didn't

You should just make this whole statement as your signature because you seem to be writing this in every thread you reply too

Can someone post the LED lights they used. The big question is with it trigger a light out warning.

I installed al led door lights and they came with load equalizers so you dint get a warning light.
