I changed sway bar link at front that's all. When I drive the engine heats up a lot like I can feel it from like 3 feet away and it smells like it's burning oil. I would like a list of parts I should look at and change to have a perfectly working engine with no problems whatsoever. It has 239k Kms and want it to last me a little longer any one know how far the engine could go kilometre wise? Thanks for looking at my post

looking at the area you live in, id say start with the CCV valve and hoses...get the cold weather one ..
also look into changing the plugs, see if youve got any oil on the plugs, if you do, change the VCG's fresh oil and filter change... fuel filter as well.. Since you say that its overheating, check the hoses or the expansion tank..thermostat locked in closed position..or maybe its time for a cooling system overhaul.. You could always change all the fluids since you have no idea last time they were changed.. see how the motor runs after this small tune-up .

does your thermometer show that the car is overheating? do you get message saying the car is overheating?
since you got car with no previous history, it is a good idea to establish a baseline for yourself... change oil, see if the oil has any "mayo" sludge in it... look around the expansion tank, to see if it has any white residue around its "neck" - if it does, it is time to replace that... while doing the expansion tank, do what 4.8is said, look into your cooling system... the smell of burning oil can come from a leak somewhere, that hits the exhaust and creates smell... any other smells? sweet smell of antifreeze? any leaks on the ground? check your entire suspension, with this mileage in the north, you want to check the rear subframe bushings, the guibo - those are rubber parts, and if not changed before, may be crumbling by now... to get you more advise, you need to provide us with more info... welcome to the forum
