Seats not moving when unlocking

OK, I've asked this question in the past ( in this thread) , and I got some good answers, but never got to really figure out what to do about it.

My X5 has the following issue:

On my driver's seat, memory works OK, I have adjusted it to two different positions (one for me, one for my wife), and I can recall them by pressing the "1" or "2" buttons. However, the seat doesn't move to those predefined positions, when I unlock the car with our two keys. The keys are obviously programmed to the car, since they unlock all the doors and trunk, and they disable the after-market alarm, but they do not move the seat to the predefined positions.

What I am looking for, are things to check, to make that happen. I have access to the usual program suite, from George in Romania, and the proper cable, so no issues there. But I have no idea what I should be looking for, either in the car settings or the car components.

One more piece of info, which shouldn't play a role, is that the car is equipped with an after-market radio, which has its own K-bus box (I think that's the proper terminology). That appears to be working OK, the cruise control and other buttons on the steering wheel function fine.

Any help would be appreciated, since this, together with faulty mirrors and a non-working A/C fan (I can live without that, winter is coming, I'll fix it next spring) are the only things that bother me on the car. Oh yes, in addition to the slow-filling problem, but I can live with that too.

Thanks guys!
