Hell if you can get this working flawlessly which Im sure you will be able to just a matter of time I would be all in for a group buy if we can get one together. That is a killer deck! I was wanting a Navi in the X5 and was looking at different decks but I think Ive found the deck that's to you! Pricing is a bit steep but as stated if we can get a decent/discounted group buy going on this I will be all over it. Four.8 see if you can get something together and maybe get a backup camera in return for free or something. Worth a shot!

Subbing for how you get on with this. I was leaning heavily towards the Avin Avant 2 but I do like the UI of this unit... so much simpler. Don't like the hardware specs as much but since it's not running the android OS it shouldn't cause any lagging issues...

Will keep my eye on this. Thanks for being the first (it appears) to pull the trigger on one of these units.

okay people I did the software update from the Dynavin's website...the unit works flawlessly !I made sure I took it on a 30 min drive around and play with every single button, turn on/off, restart, try out the navi and bluetooth as well as phone calls and other stuff as well before coming and posting that it works then have to take my words back..

Looks like it was something as simple as software update..

OBC now shows coolant temp and ambient temp.

NAVI takes a while to find the signal and thats probably because I attached the antenna to the metal frame inside the dash...I have no idea to put it to get better signal..I don't want it to be an eyesore..

Same goes for the bluetooth MIC
I mounted it right behind the steering wheel and people complain they cant hear me...tried to get closer to it but im told there is no sound...maybe ill have to move it somewhere in the headliner?

pictures below:

I have no idea why the lights seem kinda yellow but they actually match the stock lights perfectly...theyre just a little stronger but I think they did a great job on that...either way, if they were yellow they would have matched my instrument cluster lights(I dont know what BMW was thinking)

I does look nice. I'm glad it worked with just a software update.

How responsive is it? Like switching between programs and pressing icons? I am trying to decide whether to go with that or the Avin avant 2. I don't have DSP. On paper I prefer the avant 2 but I am just not sure.

Placing GPS antenna on top or under the dash gets the same reception when I tested the signal strength. You can speed up the GPS signal finding process by putting in static COM port number and COM speed number for GPS antenna instead of auto-detect in iGO Primo system file. My GPS signals are found as soon as iGO Primo loads.

No the Dynavin has its own mic and antenna.

four8.is, AWESOME that it was fixed! I'm betting Jeff is happy to hear that as well!

Junger thats a good tip for the GPS antenna, I'll have to remember it if I get one of these units. On my old VW I remember just sticking it (magnetic) to a metal frame as far up and back in the dash as I could (close to the air vents and top of dash), but it was hidden. Worked fine, but again I'm comparing an OEM unit. Even on an OEM unit it took a few seconds to find signal.

Guys I know people have been talking about a group buy and sure its probably worth it to ask Jeff but to be honest in my opinion $699 shipped is a damn good price for a unit with the quality and features, the OEM look at its the only one on the market to work with DSP out of the box.

The Avin 2 in my readings I think lists for $799? So its more expensive than the Dynavin
