Do you still have access to the factory computer... to change the settings, reset fuel consumption, clock, etc? Can you see all of this on the screen?

Trying to get my N6 fully installed. Love it so far but would like to get the PDC to work. I'm stumped on which wire or how to connect. Has someone installed with success? I'm not interested in the reverse camera, just the PDC.
Instructions from Jeff :find the reverse light circuit at the reverse light plug and figure out which wire with a test light. I have no idea where that is. Previous posts indicated the x38 connector but I don't know where that is either. Would I need to be running a wire from the tailgate all the way to the front of truck to behind the N6 or should the wire already be up at the front? Sorry for the newbie questions. For an X5, I think you can still access and reset thing like the stopwatch, timer, MPG via the stalk. The only other way to get around this is to re-connect or re-located the MID.

Nope, I don't think you can reset MPG, timer, stopwatch, etc with the stalk. Simply brings up a "Program" option when you hold down the OBC switch on the stalk... unless I am missing something.

^If you want to keep the OBC functions it is not too cumbersome or hard to move the MID to the glovebox.

This is something I'd like to keep, but I'm reluctant to to relocate the original nav screen. I guess I could just disable all of the read outs via the nav screen.. so that nothing at all comes up in the cluster. Probably better to have nothing there at all!

What if you had factory nav and have no Mid to relocate?

^Good question. I think the Nav computer in the trunk keeps the OBC functions doesnt it? The factory nav screen does not have it, its just a monitor. Someone with OEM nav can chime in but I'm not too familiar with how it works. Perhaps if you keep the nav computer connected somehow, you keep OBC functions?

But isn't the nav/etc. Also part of the amp? I can not find good specs on the Lear amp. If it is good enough to drive new speakers, then add another amp for sub- a possibility? Unfortunately I have no mid to jam in the glove box......
