Front Rotors and Pad Replaced at 17K mi
But only 17K miles on a set of rotors and pads? Anyone have a similar experience? I think she's heavy on the gas and heavy on the binders plus she drives nearly all city miles. I've heard of this happening with Suburbans but not the X5. Mpg is also poor at 13.2 around town with $2.70/gal for premium in LA, thank you very much . Driving style maybe?? Any thoughts?

I changed my pads to the Mintex dustless pads at 24K. I now have 70K on the original rotors and 46K on the Mintex pads. Planning to do new pads and rotors over the next several months.

Replaced my OEM rear pads at about 46k, fronts at about 52k. I'm at almost 63k and still on original rotors.

2001 4.4i with 60,500 miles and still on the original pads & rotors. I expect the pads to go past 100,000 miles as I drive way ahead and thus don't end up breaking heavily at intersections.
