Transfer Case or Transmission 2005 E53 N62??

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2005 X5 4.4 and recently started to feel a shuddering or a missed gear /spline when driving . This continues from 1st to 4th gear up until about 80 KPH speed and then smooths out. It is difficult to describe but the closest I can describe it is akin to a stripped spline /gear. It is almost as if the transmission is slipping or the transfer case .

I have pulled the plastic gear from the actuator motor on the transfer case and checked it ( looks good with no sign of wear), changed the transmission oil 50K Km ago ( preventive) and again last week (no sign of wear/sludge).

I have access to INPA and DIS and the car shows no codes.

Any Ideas would be appreciated.
