You're right AFAIK I have the New Venture, like I said. My post wasn't really response per se, I was asking a question rather than clogging up the bandwidth with a new thread or dredging up a dead thread. Sorry, if that's bad form.

As to which oil. I try to do my own work, so I know the vehicle and what it's doing. If we have to go to the dealer and pay $60 per liter, then it is what it is. However, if you can buy the same oil in a different container from Auto Zone for $10 per liter, then that's way I prefer to go.

For example: the Castrol SAF-XO used in the differentials is sold commercially in the US as Syntec and available in many different retail settings for far less money than dealer costs. I found this out because this is same oil used/recommended in their motorcycles, of which I own.

Simple as that. If there is a reference for substitute fluids, like I mentioned above, then I missed it and I apologize.
