Update. I just called my Indy for giggles and asked them how much $$ to change this. They quoted me $268. My jaw hit the floor. I am bringing it in Friday.

I double checked if they understood what I was talking about and they said yes.

No kidding! We'll see what happens on Friday. I thought it was a fairly involved job. That quote sounds like 2.5 hours of labor to me....

It took me about 4 to 5 hours to do mine. They will have to side out your front diff so get a new diff o-ring that goes into the oil pan .I would make sure they are aware of the work involved. Its def.not a 2 1/2 hr job good luck and remember you get what you pay for .Also you don't have to jack up the motor to do this repair

Alternator bracket leak?

I think this place should know what they are doing. They are a BMW / Audi / Mercedes specialist. I gotta tell you - the price they quoted me shocked me a bit as too low. We confirmed we were talking about the same thing though. At less than $300 - I am all over this!
