If you have multimeter or unlock the obd function, you can monitor the voltage pre and post startup.

You can also check the date on the battery, if it is more than 6 or 7yrs maybe it time to think about replacing it.
It's only 10 months old unfortunately. I'll see if I run into any more starting issues. Unfortunately, it's an Interstate battery, so the warranty can only be obtained through Interstate dealers... not easy since most of them are tire/oil change places out here.

Whoops I was on my phone, no its on the M54 TSB. Not sure if the dipstick tubes are the same across the V8 and I6 (I doubt it), if they were the same original part though I'm sure it would work.
