I'd bet you have something plugged in incorrectly.

Thanks cham, I'll go over all the connections again tonight...

Could you please elaborate a little about the screen below the lower oil pan and how to clean the VANOS on the N62? Do you have to take the oil pan off to get to this screen?

Oh yeah, I did replace the orings for the VANOS when I did the timing covers, but I didn't touch anything other than that. Should I pull them back out and clean with brake cleaner or a degreaser and then rub a little fresh oil on them? or do the cylinders actually disassemble a little for better cleaning? Also, are there any o-rings or teflon seals like those found in the Besian Systems Repair Kits like I just replaced on an e46 330i I have been working on?

Sorry if these are beginner "Newbie" questions. I have not been having much luck in my search attempts.

go to bim****erfest and search on
Looks like i Finally discovered BMW V8 secret!!!

but you already replaced the orings so I doubt theres an issue there.

With that many misfires, I think you've got a wiring issue.

or....with a misfire on all cylinders, theres a fuel delivery issue ie fuel pump etc.

I tried to find a picture of the oil pickup that can get clogged but was unsuccessful, but it can be clogged especially is you had something break before like chain guides, or if you got sealant into the system/etc. If you drain oil remove the oil pan, youll see the oil pickup. . Idoubt that is the issue, but you never know. I know someone who traced some codes that pointed to CPS and VANOS and this was the issue

Sounds great, and thanks for telling me where to find that information. I really appreciate it.

I am leaning towards the same conclusion. The only cylinder I didn't get a misfire on was Cylinder 7.

I was planning to eventually take the oil pan off to clean everything real well and replace the gasket. Looks like I will be doing that sooner rather than later. I guess its a good thing I'm an Okie (Stupid Sooners reference if you didn't catch that)!

So, I plan on going through all the electrical connectors again, and again... Then replace the oil pan gasket and clean everything out really well.

Thanks again everyone for all your suggestions! I will update with the results! I hate it more than anything when you find a thread explaining a very similar issue someone else was having and they never return to post about the outcome.
Good or bad, the results are bound to help a fellow owner in need at some point.
