GLove box torch

Hi can anyone give me advice as to where the torch should be. I have searched the glove box and cannot see it. ALso I can see a sort of connector but no torch and I am not sure there is room for it. The book just says in the glove box there is a torch. As I only bought the car 4 days ago and it is only 3 months old and it was a dealer (and the dealer's car) I might complain if it is missing.

Thanks

John

When looking in the glove box, it should be in the upper left side. It sounds like the dealer forgot to give it to you.

Yep, upper left hand corner of the glove. If there is not a flashlight there, you should see a connector. Think he forgot to give it to you.

Or if you have a right hand drive, it`s in the upper right hand side.

Torch

Is that what you call a flash light?

When I think of torch I think of blow torch.

It would be fun to understand what other items we have different names for, please list.

Hood
Gas

In North America, only the 4.4's got the glove box torch. There is a plastic blank that covers the place where it should be. If you pop off the blank there is wiring in there to retrofit it. It's not worth it to me because the little BMW flashlight is almost useless. The plug does however, offer another means to get a 12V plug with the addition of a $8 adapter.

Light is a joke

I have the flash light and it does not provide much light.

It nice that it charged and ready maybe the new X5 will have a better one.

I don't think that BMW even lists it as a feature of the 4.4
