Anybody got lucky a broke a door carrier

Man, I feel your pain. I had the same issue. I had mostly tightened the carrier and then tried to set the lock WITHOUT the exterior lock cover. The screw was hitting just enough on the side, that I couldn't get it to catch.

Unfortunately, I didn't have any beer ...

So, I loosened up the carrier and then put the cover on the lock...set it and dang if the screw didn't catch on the first attempt!!! Yes, all went well, except for that one part.
