The Vredestein is another option. I keep toying with the idea of getting the Ultrac Sessanta for my M5 but I always end up getting the Michelin. I've just always had such good experiences with the PS, PS2 and PSS that I lose my nerve when it comes to buying time. It's the same hesitation with getting the Ultrac Vorti for my X5. I should just do it.

Ive had 2 sets of the Continental DWs's on my 20 inch rims. And i have a set on currently . They are fabulous in the rain and a pretty good dry weather tire. I have adjusted my camber to the minimum setting so that they wear out evenly I still went through 2 sets of back tires for 1 set of fronts. But all the same these are my all time favorites for this vehicle. And I now have 162,500 miles on my X5 now. Needless to say I haven't used the DW's. I have tried the Vredersteins. I found that they wore very fast. I have them on my M3 now .

I set the toe & camber to BMW minimums when I installed the Vred Ultr Vorts a year ago, 15k miles of driving (hot lapping Sebring track with 5 in the X included) and they measure over 6/32ths in all rain grooves on the rears.

At that wear rate I expect over 40k miles out of the rears.
