Thanks for the feedback! I do wish it was a bit lower on miles but they are asking $37k which seems like a good price all things considered.

Wow that's quite a few miles! I suppose it speaks to the longevity of the car. Anything major about the engine stand out in the service documentation?

I have a 2010 build e70 35d. I've had it from new and its done 50k miles so far. It has no 'rough idling' certainly no noticeable vibration through the steering wheel.

Thanks, good to know! I had a feeling shouldn't be noticing any roughness though the car. Overall the engine seemed to be running well be feeling any vibes at idle stuck out in my mind.

It is very vibration-free for a diesel, but may feel a bit shaky if you compare it to, let's say, Lexus.

Good point, I'm comparing to my e90 and my brother's e53.

As a side note I grew up with a '78 240D, now that's a diesel that likes to shake

I have a 2011 X5 35D, and it just hit 50k miles.
Only 1 issue so far is was the alternator pulley going bad.
Other then that, car runs smooth and quiet. Never felt any of this vibration you guys are talking about. I switched from a E92...

For maintenance on Diesels, carbon build up is a bit more severe then Gas.
I would recommend more frequent oil changes then what BMW recommends.
Now that the truck is out of warranty, I started using Cetane booster. I plan on keeping this truck for a while.

You will love the 35D.
