Very good news. 83k miles and our 2012 X5 35i has had three episodes in the last 8k miles where it doesn't want to shift out of park.

A mechatronics SLEEVE is not the same as a mechatronics UNIT.

Our X5 originally had serveral bouts before it diagnosed as the mechatronics UNIT as the issue. It was flat bedded 3 separate times over a 4 month time period. Odometer is at 94k miles and still drives like new. Best move was changing out of run flats to Conti Extreme Contacts DW06.
