xenon headlight, please illuminate

A bulb replacement did nothing to fix a headlight outage on my 2011 x5, on the right side.Is the ballast or control module next? Are they both accessible through the wheelwell? Which one has the 3 tab mount vs. the 4 hole mount? Aftermarket or used on any or both? Is there a remedy that converts these 3 component 'nightmares' to a simpler one component halogen system?

I had a single bulb out, tried ballast and bulb. Lamp has to come out i am pretty sure. My problem was a 40a fuse in the passenger fuse box get the fuse diagram I want to say it was #23 but I'm not positive

blue dragon will become famous soon enough
They are both accessible through the wheel well, once you remove the liner. Here is what you will see on the passenger side once you remove the liner

For all the 35D owners, that black bracket in the lower right of the picture is what holds the active tank

Check your fuses first

In these cars there are no actual fuses for the lights. Everything is controlled by the FRM(Footwell Module, LCM Light and Check Module in the older models).

I had light issues, but found a blown 40a which caused my right hid ballast only to not work and my left halo ring was out at the same time

Mine was caused by a car accident
