I Did a radiator replacement on my 08 last year. The New top radiator hose is revised to omit on of the small return to the expansion tank. However you would need to omit this hose or plug it (as I did) or replace the expansion tank. I used the new revised radiator....to a 4 hole from a 5 hole.
I noticed after replacement that every time I got on it (stomped on the accelerator) It would trigger a CEL that indicated a Thermostat fault. I could hear a noticeable "whine" coming from the engine bay. The water pump was fine but the thermostat was bad. I replaced it and haven't gotten the error since. It could have been purely coincidental but I noticed it coincided with the radiator and hose revision. The job was fairly easy took a couple hours. Watch out for the little flaps on the fan shroud. They break off very easily. Getting the bottom passenger side hose off was a pain in the A$$. If you need any guidance feel free to PM me.
