When I looked a few months ago, Tire Rack had 19" Michelin RFT for the same price as normal tires. I have no love for RFT tires and switched to normal ones. My only regret is the mushy on center feel on the highway.

This in the lats? What pressure you running? have you tried playing with that at all? Alignment good?

Yes Latitude Tour HPs. I have tried 35psi up to 45. Alignment was done at dealer 2 months ago. The feel gets better with higher pressure but then I get a loud drone on concrete pavement at highway speed.

I also got rid of the RFT on my E90 and I went to PS2s. On center feel got soft on the E90 also. Ultimately grip went up but it felt like things were leaning more than with the RFTs.

Most of BMW's goal is to keep the customer dependent on the service department. The good people on this forum are a minority as far as their personal involvement in their cars.

Too much toe in that alignment. You will get under 20k miles on a set of tires, my guess.

You want 0.02" toe in on each wheel, period. Dont listen to the dealer.

I already have 15k on the tires and while wear is not ideal, I should make it to 45k miles. Won't less toe give me even less road feel?

I have a plug kit as well as the oem slime.

What is the oem slime? Is that like fix a flat?

I've wondered what you do to get rid of the run flats.

Mine need replacing and I don't really want to buy new RFT's

Are people going without a spare (don't want that either) and carrying fix a flat?

What about the pressure monitors? Will fix a flat kill them?
