No need to tow, just provide them your VIN and proof of ownership.

They will ship the key to you, ready to use. If you have comfort access, and want it programmed, then you will need to take the car and key to a dealer. But the key will work to unlock and start the car. |

Well I did some digging around and made a few calls to local BMW stealerships. Best price got with tax was 244.28 from Patrick BMW. Not bad. My wife ending up helping me look for the key. She found it for me sunk in on the side of my computer chair. Damn thing .... I could of sworn I checked it, anyways, I'm still in need of a spare key. Looks like all I have to do is show ID and bring registration. Overall a good day
