One set back after another. One of the 20x11 wheels I purchased showed up as a 20x10 wheel. Sending it back. Now to find another 20x11 wheel. These are not easy to come by.

Update: So I finally have all four 20x11 wheels. Two of them had a slight bend, but easily fixed by a local wheel repair shop for $150. Once I finish sanding the scuffs, they will be off to the powder coater. I will try to post a picture this weekend. Also busy buying a house right now.

One thing I noticed is that BMW actually slightly changed the design of the Style 214 internally (identical on the outside). They machined off a lot of material inside the barrel to save weight. One of the wheels I have is like this (came from a newer E70).

Wheels are straightened, cleaned up, and headed to the powder coater. I have decided on matte black.

Just picked the wheels up. Here is a quick picture of the finish. Very smooth and uniform. It's "80% gloss" matte black. More picks to come after I get tires.

Got tires mounted and did a test fit. The front needs a small 3mm spacer to clear the knuckle, which I expected. No tire rubbing whatsoever. Will post more pictures when spacers arrive (back ordered until the 21st).

For those curious. The Falken FK-453 in 295/40R20 is $140 a tire at Discount Tire. Unreal.

Here's another shot of the tires mounted on the wheels. IMO 295 is the perfect width for an 11" wide wheel. This is after using Dr. Beasley's Matte Wheel Seal.

Had to put the stock wheels back on while I wait for spacers to arrive. More pics soon!

Thanks! It's also nice to be able to rotate tires and get a full set, with mount/balance, for ~$600... Those kind of prices are unheard of in X-land!

I dunno, they look horrible on your X. You need to pack them up and ship them to me!

All joking aside, love the look! Congrats on a great purchase.

Ha thanks. It took months of sourcing wheels, researching, measuring, sanding, waiting... but it all came together in the end. I think I'm the only person to have tried this fitment I can find, but it works! After I sell my existing 214 set, I'll only have about $1,600 into everything (wheels, tires, TPMS, powder coat, spacers, bolts, center caps, etc.), which is about the cost for a set of run-flats.

Also, I found front spacers that were in stock, so hopefully I can have everything mounted next week.
