CEL, code P204F

Just bought a 2013 X5 (x35d) with 71k miles on it. After driving it for 500 miles or so, the check engine light came on. I still have a VAG-COM setup from my TDI days, so I ran VCDS in OBD mode and found code P204F had been set. Still working on getting a useful BMW diagnostic suite and suitable cable working, but wanted to ask you guys in the meantime if this was something anyone had seen before.

Haven't noticed any other problems or drivability/performance issues. The dealer I bought the vehicle from was a Buick/GMC place, so I doubt they did anything beyond a quick visual check when getting it ready for sale (they claimed they changed the oil). I've already changed the oil again (to make sure I was rolling with LL04 compliant, figured odds were low that the GM dealer knew to use that). I also added around 2 gallons of DEF to the secondary tank, and also opened the primary and topped it off (was surprised it seemed to take quite a bit - thought the transfer pump should have been keeping it topped off).

Based on the limited info I've found on code P204F, it appears to be something wrong with the SCR system. I'm not receiving any "no-start in xxx miles" messages or anything yet. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You need a BMW specific code reader.

If it is the SCR tank, I believe you will find an extended warranty on that part. Hence, spending a few $ to get a BMW code reader- so you can go to a dealer confident it is a warrantable issue- is a cheap expense.
