I'm back to shopping in earnest. I've been looking at 2011 and later models (3.5) with as many options as I can get for my budget (around $20k). I'm trying to keep it under 70k miles.

The good news is there is no shortage of vehicles, but I do I have to dig to find the nuggets. Wife has to have heated seats, and I want the flexibility of the 3rd row (kids are still small enough to fit back there). The 3rd row option obviously limits the selections pretty quickly. But I'm also not on any timeline, so maybe I have the upper hand? My goal is to have as many options as possible.

Wishlist:

Heated sport seats
Heated rear seats
3rd row
Sport steering wheel
Top view
Bluetooth
Not white

Any leads welcome.

I rn into the same issues when looking for a replacement for my 08. found an 11 with Comfort seats, comfort access, top hifi and adaptive drive. Loved the truck but when the CEL came on during the test drive and it went into reduced power....my headache and heartaches with my 2011 335 came flooding back and I decided to walk and stick with the more dependable N52. On the flip side our 135 N55 was bulletproof.

Meh, I wouldn't worry about a CEL if the selling dealer is willing to make it right before the sale of the car and put it in writing. BMWs seem very sensitive to minor issues and are willing to throw an SES for minor reasons.

I'm about to finalize the negotiations with a no-haggle dealer. I think they are about to find out that no-haggle only benefits them and I'm not really interested in their interests.

If the deal goes through it will be a fly and drive and I'll share that adventure in a new thread.

Monkey wrench!

As I was about to call dealer #1 a second car, er, truck, er, SUV, er SAV, um, X5 came up with the M Sport package and same options, except the 3rd row.

Stay tuned.
