CCC I drive fuse (radio still works)

Hey guys total nightmare last night tried installing a video interface on my 2008 BMW X5 no OEM navigation or OEM camera on a 6.5" screen. long story short the video module instructed to splice into the can hi and can low wire , after splicing and connecting everything back my ccc screen never turned on again I can hear the radio but the ccc won't light up I tried aiming a flashlight to see if the LCD light was dead but you cannot see anything , I have a feeling my amature installed damaged the can hi and can low wires as he cut and spliced into them , I have since removed everything and had to solder the can low wire together as of now I don't have any codes everything seems to work except my ccc does anyone have any ideas?! Do I need a new main harness since the plug that connects to the ccc has been damaged .
