Yes sir.. that will be my plan. There's a shop in Oakville (likely the same one you're referring to) that specialize in this stuff. They can make the 35d's faster, live longer and more efficient for less than the cost of replacing most of the emissions stuff. BTW, I have a pending offer in on a truck now.. Just working out the details for my trade in..fingers crossed. Did you get my txt message? |

pulled the trigger
Hey guys, so I pulled the trigger again after my terrible episode in September with a scammer dealer..
I ended up buying a CPO x5 from a BMW dealer. I'm happy with my find, and I feel I got a fair price. Congrats
You are getting two keys with that, correct?? Oh, hard to believe I know, but dealers have been know to CPO cars with the brake pads or tires UNDER the CPO minimum... You should independently verify this BEFORE you take possession. |

Hi Ard,
Yes I'm getting 2 keys. I'm not sure why bmwvin has replacement key listed as an option.. I think it does this for every code reading. I've looked at probably 20 and all of them had an option for additional key. Thanks for the congrats. Looking at x5s and dealing with shady salesman was definitely testing my patience. The x5 I bought is in good shape but there are a few small issues the dealer will be addressing (and I have written into our agreement) before I take possession of the truck. From looking at the truck, I could tell it was likely used by the typical "soccer mom" for hauling the kids around to practice, the mall, etc. I was fortunate enough (maybe?) to get to the dealer to look at the x5 almost the day after they took it in on trade so they literally had not done a thing to it when I saw it. It was in it's typical "going to be traded" filth, including muddy seat backs and cheerios and what looked like chocolate milk all over the back seat...LOL I'm fine with that though, as there were no rips in the seats or excessive wear, or any major body issues and the dealer will detail it before I pick it up. One thing the dealer agreed to is to refinish all the rims as all of them had some curb rash and they're also going to check the alignment for me as on the PO's carproof there were 4 service records related to the tires and alignment, which was no surprise given the curb rash. Cheers |

Buzzken is the manufacturer of DPF delete pipe among other things. I think he's a manufacturer, not tuner...? |

BuzzKen (Ken Duncan) does make the hardware. The tune the offers is from another party. But he does good work and offers full service, AFAIK.
I would suggest deleting the DPF if you can get away with it. It will become a service issue at some point, and it puts undue stress on the turbos unless it stays squeaky clean. Which it typically doesn’t.
