Ill try to get some more tonight or tomorrow. I ran my 4 way flashers with just one LED in and its by far brighter than the standard bulb from about 30 feet behind in sun light. Took this one right after I installed them.

i used them in my 2011 35D last week and it kept saying the bulb was malfunctioning. Did you run any sort of resistor?

Might have been useful to say so in post #1 Ive never been hit because someone couldn't seem me, yet I would run assholes with superbright LED brake and turn lights off the road if it wasnt a felony |

I haven't seen aftermarket LED brake and signal lights brighter than OE supplied units... so you're probably safe. 2011-2013 Optimas SX's are ridiculously bright and aimed right at the driver behind. At night they are blinding. The lights that should be ticketed more for are HID headlight bulbs retrofitted into vehicles with no projector installed for a proper cutoff. Those are blinding... and LED headlight bulbs are now a thing as well and are equally offensive with no directional lens. Worst offenders are the lifted trucks who don't bother to aim their lights post lift kit.

To me the trucks running those LED light bars on the road are the worst, that and the damn retro fitted crappy aftermarket HIDs. The kids that run white turn signals in the back tend to piss me off too. |

I put a set of these in the upper brake light housing. I noticed that the standard bulb in that location is melting and has deformed the plastic on the tail light housing. Makes you wonder if BMW actually test anything they design. They seem to have failures that other manufactures overcame in 1969.
Anyway, my reasoning for changing the bulbs out is hopefully the LEDs are a little easier on the wimpy electrical system and just maybe my tail light housings wont melt. I think I have just about every bulb in that car replaced now minus the HIDs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

My dad's 2003 Nissan Altima has burnt and warped license plate lights... I think this is probably a universal problem. Recently replaced a bulb on those for him and noticed the problem one day when he was at our place.
The heat of incandescent bulbs and plastic do not mix. There are lots of pluses to converting to LEDs. And now that the technology has improved it is something that actually should be done.
