I'm not a fan of two-tone, unless the color difference it subtle or mild, but it does look nice.
Did you do any kind of sanding/wet sanding? I repainted several pieces of interior trim using the same process described above about 8 months ago, because of the soft touch peeling, and it still looks great. I would imagine if you keep it clean, out of severe heat and apply some type of decent hydrating product twice a month, it'll last twice as long or more than the average.
