DPF removal

Hi,

I have a 2008 E70 3.0sd.
As I usually drive for short distances I have a lot of problems with my dpf.
I have cleaned it twice in the last years, but it doesnt regenerate too often and it often gets clogged.
I am thinking to remove the dpf and just install a straight pipe.
I talked to a friend technician, and he told me that it is easy to do it, but it will need programming for the missing sensors.

Does anybody have any previous experience with this?
Thanks in advance

If you want to make easy way... then cut out dpf and put back welded pipe. Anyway car will be little louder. If you will use only straight pipe...you will have to do something with those sensors...
You have to completelly programm out dpf.
Put straight pipe with Y style at the back. Take off big useless muffler ant put 2 small silencers for both pipes.

Im thinking to put a new pipe, and keep the dpf just in case.
Do I have to attach the sensors on the pipe again or just remove them?
And what about the programming, do you know if it can be done with inpa or ista?
Thanks for your help

You need a tune once you delete the emissions components. Removing the DPF is not easy on the E70. You have to drop the subframe. Ask me how I know

In my car previous owner just drilled the hole in filter...did not cut it out that is the cheapest and fastest way
I have 'resistance' 3 instead of 0. When you have filter it is about 6
