2012 X5 HUD windshield

Hello, I just had my windshield replaced at the dealer and my hud is dim and the windshield is mirror like, meaning i can clearly see my vents and panel from the dash.

It is an original windshield, but I am wondering if there is a way for me to be sure that it is indeed a HUD compatible windshield, could anyone who has the HUD option take a picture of their markings, lower driver side

Is there way that you can check the part number? Did their invoice include the part number?

just because the correct part is on the paperwork doesnt mean the 3rd party installer put in the correct glass....

I am also not sure the regulatory labeling on the glass is unique for each different model glass

Doesn't the HUD have an adjustable display? Only asking because I read where you said the HUD was dim...but you never wrote that you made an attempt to adjust the brightness. If you haven't...then I would suggest adjusting the HUD to see if it makes a difference.

There is a brightness knob by the headlight switch. For reference, I can get mine bright enough at night that I can see the edges of the rectangle of the screen.
