e70 35d "rest" activation?

All, I was wondering if someone might have an answer for me. While waiting for my girlfriend's train to get in, I accidentally activated the "rest" function, that continues blowing climate control for about 30 mins after you get out of the car. All winter I had been trying to figure out how to activate it, but yesterday the screen literally said "rest" to the right of the fan level. I think I pressed the fan key, with the ignition off, and the key in the slot still, but I can't seem to manage to replicate it yet. Does anyone know how this is done?

On my 3 series, instead of the "AC max" button, it was a rest button, and that would run the heat in the car for a while in the winter while I ran in to grab groceries or the like. It's not as useful in the summer but it would probably keep fresh air circulating at least!
