Radiator Loose

Hi

I'm chasing a clunk noise in the front. When looking for "stuff" that could be the culprit, noticed that the radiator/electric fan assembly is loose, or at least I can easily move it front/back at least 1"-2"....is this supposed to be that way? I see there are plastic supports / absorbers on each side but what about up/down?

It is a 3.0 si - have someone experienced something like this?

Have a look at realoem to see if there might be missing brackets or clips.

I think there are clips on either side. The fan slides in then clips. As long as you have a clip on one side it should not go up and down. If you have play from front to back then maybe the plastic housing areas that the fan slides into have broken. Did you have recent work done? The fan shouldn稚 move.

Chased some horrible clunking noises in the front suspension and it turned out to be this piece 31336778108. The one on the top right had completely disintegrated. It holds the shockabsorber shaft to the top mounting plate.

Thanks - I checked these (at least what can be seen) and there is no pieces falling or visible signs of damage

So far I believe the lower control arms have quite a bit of play and seem to be a contributor (if I push the arm up/down parallel to the bolt that attaches to the wheel there is a clear metallic clunk so I guess that is not right)

Now, what I found (will open a new thread) is that, with both front wheels in the air, if I rotate the wheels rapidly back and forth (e.g. 20 degrees back & forward) there is a very loud metallic clunk coming from I assume is the transfer case almost like it had no "grease" or anything.........
