So, you removed the dpf from the exhaust system, but did your mechanic remove it from your soft(ecu) too so your car will know that it no longer has a dpf ?

You could have had the DPF cleaned, instead of destroyed. Is this one of those mechanics that works out of a cardboard box? I'm going to guess you chose him since he was the cheapest...not because he was the best shop you could find. R6000 is USD425. |

For all we know your particle filter might have been fine....it might be the 'mechanic' read the standard 'DPF life warning' that is trigger at 1xx,000 miles and decided *that* must be the issue. SO he gutted it, ruining it.
Now, after you get the car coded, are you confident it will be running great? And, BTW- $425 for coding something like this is nothing these days. Finally, what ELSE has he hacked out of the car? Last edited by ard; 07-07-2019 at 01:22 AM. |

You also have to remove the scr because without dpf that will clog up quickly.
