Sounds like some hack mechanics (and owner) are just destroying this car.....

You could have had the DPF cleaned, instead of destroyed. Is this one of those mechanics that works out of a cardboard box? I'm going to guess you chose him since he was the cheapest...not because he was the best shop you could find.

R6000 is USD425.
