I only see one tire but anyway, it's the Michelin Latitude Tour HP ZP. Great tire, excellent run flat. If you want a fantastic conventional tire, the Michelin Premier LTX has been very impressive. I have a 2011 X5d with 255/50R19.

Run flat tires should have an RSC designation on the sidewall.

^Do a google search for the tire model that's on your truck. Easy as that.

I prefer non-run flats personally and have only been left with a flat in one BMW I've owned. And it was due to a faulty valve stem not a puncture. Have towing through insurance and CC with the X5's so I switched from RF's.

If I buy a car with runcraps on it, it's the first thing I'll negotiate. They either replace the tires with something non runcrap, or knock off enough cash for me to go purchase new tires.

Which runcraps do you avoid?

All of them. I don't see a sense in sacrificing road noise, handling, grip, safety, etc. For the perceived benefit of being able to limp my car to a tire shop in the event of a flat. I have AMA, so if I get a flat I'll call a tow truck.

Right. So what super duper high performance tire do you run? Must be a PS4? PZ4? DSST?? I mean if you are not willing to sacrifice anything, you gotta be spending what $500 a corner. right?

Do tell.

I see you managed to both miss the entire context of the post, as well as be unknowledgeable to a T about runflats.

I will run whatever regular tire that is rated decent and fits the current budget. Has nothing to do with not sacrificing anything. It has to do with the principle of paying double for half the tire. Would you pay double for brake pads that took twice as much distance to stop? I would hope the answer is no. And in that case, why would you do it in the case of tires?
