My wife uses the E70 daily for her commute and both of us on the weekends but I drive. So I really like your way of connecting the Phone to the unit as a hotspot, but how would that work with 2 users? I think I'm going to mess with it this weekend and play around with connection settings. I currently use a dedicated hotspot that I added onto my phone plan and leave it in the E70. That works for now and since I've only had the monitor in for about 3 weeks I'm still feeling out if its worth keeping the dedicated one in the car, or just tether like you did.

Thanks for the correction! Note to self , iNav..iNav.. iNav...

The AHU will connect to whichever phone has a stronger wifi hotspot signal

It's awesome... if you have really, really deep pockets. Plus you still won't have all the android functionality.

But it looks amazing.

I have an AVIN unit, bought it & installed in mid 2019. So far unit is working with no issues, it took a few weeks to get accustomed to how it works and what I was able to do in the OEM menu vs. the new one (the iDrive control vs Touchscreen) so is more a learning process.

In retrospective, a good portion of the issues I had read in the forums could be fixed with proper configuration and better understanding of the limitations & behaviour of the interface (and also rational expectations of AVIN customer service --or lack thereof--). I have had a few questions since a bought it which were responded, not inmediatly for sure, but at least they returned back the e-mails.

The new screen significantly improved the interior look and feel; it made the car a few years "newer". I would buy again with no second thoughts; in fact, I should have gone for the top-of-the line one which at that time was like $100 more but at that time did not want to invest more.
