E53 subwoofer for an E70

My son has an 01 E53 with DSP. I had to take his car drive his car the other day, and I think the audio is better than my 12 E70.

Is it possible to add an E53 subwoofer to an E70? Seems like I can find a unit in decent shape on eBay for ~$100 US.

Looks like you do not have Top hifi in yoir E70!
DSP is crap in E53 anyway!
There is no space for E53 subwoofer...you can use standart subwoofer in your trunk!

^DSP wasn't crap back in the day, but by today's standards definitely falls short.

OP, unfortunately, you will have to do some major work to get your E70 to sound better if you do have the base level sound system. If you are just looking for added bass for mids and lows, adding a 10" aftermarket subwoofer/amplifier will be all you need. Will take up minimal amount of cargo space, but will take up some.

Another user did this, looks clean, and probably sounds pretty clean as well.
